Privacy Policy
Last updated: EFFECTIVE_DATE
This policy explains what the Cellhue add-on for Google Sheets ("Cellhue", "we", "us") can access and what happens to that information. In short: Cellhue works only inside the spreadsheet you use it in, has no server, and does not send your data anywhere.
1. What Cellhue can access
When you install Cellhue, Google asks you to allow these permissions (OAuth scopes):
| Scope | Why Cellhue needs it |
|---|---|
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly |
To read cell values and colors, and to write formulas, in the spreadsheet where you use Cellhue. It gives no access to your other spreadsheets or files. |
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui |
To show the Cellhue menu, sidebar and dialogs inside Google Sheets. |
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email |
To read the email address of your Google account, used only to check a Cellhue Pro license key (see section 3). |
2. Spreadsheet data
- Cellhue works only inside the current spreadsheet.
- Cellhue has no server and makes no external requests.
- Your spreadsheet data does not leave Google and is not transferred to us or to anyone else.
3. Your email address
Cellhue uses your Google account email address only to check your license key locally, inside the add-on. The email is not sent to us or to anyone else.
4. Usage statistics
Cellhue keeps simple usage counters locally, in your own Google account's user properties for the add-on (Apps Script UserProperties). These counters are never sent anywhere.
5. Payments
Cellhue Pro is sold through Polar, which acts as our payment processor. Payment details are entered on Polar's checkout and handled by Polar. We do not see your payment card details. Polar's own privacy policy applies to the information you give them.
6. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent or share your data. Cellhue does not transfer data from Google APIs to anyone.
7. Google API Services User Data Policy
Cellhue's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- Cellhue uses data from Google APIs only to provide and improve the features you see in the add-on.
- Cellhue does not transfer this data to others, does not use it for advertising, and does not sell it.
- No human reads this data.
- Cellhue does not use this data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
